The 22 years old Victorian batsman Will Pucovski has made a debut for Australia against India at SCG today. He has made impressive half century and still going strong. Will Pucovski is partnered with David Warner in the new looking opening slot. In his short career he has overcome his ninth concussion and was declared fit to play.
Will Pucovski on impressive debut has rode his luck as well as he has been dropped twice by Indian wicketkeeper, Rishabh Pant on 26 and 32 respectively. He is considered as the next big thing from the Aussie soil after making a staggering start to his first-class career for Victoria. Pucovski also most his Test debut two years ago against the Sri Lankans but then he was overlooked for Kurtis Patterson who was in good form at that time. Will Pucovski was the 8th Australian after Don Bradman, Ian Chappell, Darren Lehmann, Clem Hill, Norm O’Neill, Paul Sheahan, Ricky Ponting and Doug Walters to score a Sheffield Shield double century before turning 21 when he scored 243 against Western Australia at WACA.
