Islamabad United has finished at the top of the points table after the group phase. The skipper of Islamabad United Shadab Khan has said that there is still a room for improvement for his team. The all-rounder addressed the batting lapses against Multan Sultans in the final league game and said that they will overcome this in the upcoming matches.
Shadab Khan said that his teammates showed the character and attitude by making a comeback after the first 10 overs. Islamabad United will once again face Multan Sultans on Monday in the first qualifier and Shadab Khan is confident that his side can exploit the lack of Multan Sultans batting depth.
“They don’t have enough batting depth and they have a long tail. We will try to get top order out as early as possible,” Shadab Khan.
Shadab Khan also lauded the efforts of the young fast bowler Muhammad Wasim Jr. for taking four wickets against Multan Sultans. Shadab Khan said that he is very happy with Muhammad Wasim and it is a very good news that he has been selected in the national team.
