The Swiss club Young Boys has snatched a sensational victory over 10-men Manchester United team 2-1 with the substitute Jordan Siebatcheu. Cristiano Ronaldo was also playing for Man United which shows how desperate the Reds were to win the game and Ronaldo opened the scoring as well. United States striker Siebatcheu pounced on the Jesse Lingard’s back-pass to tuck the ball past David de Gea for the winner in injury time in front of an ecstatic Swiss crowd at Wankdorf Stadium. This was the 2nd appearance of Ronaldo after returning to Manchester United and he put United in lead with his third goal in two games.
In the first half Aaron Wan-Bissaka was shown the red card after a dangerous tackle on the Young Boys midfielder Christopher Martins. In the 2nd half of the game the host came with the equalizer through Moumi Ngamaleu. Ronaldo was substituted and then surprisingly Siebatcheu got the winner for Young Boys. This the worst possible start for Manchester United in group F and they are yet to face the teams like Villarreal and Atalanta.
Ronaldo on the other hand scored his 135th goal in the competition and he has 15 more goals than his arch-rival Lionel Messi. Ronaldo will be 37 next February but he is still hungry for success. On the other hand, Young Boys won their 4th straight Swiss title last season but they have lost their top goal scorer i.e. Jean-Pierre Nsame from Cameroon.
