Suleyman Soylu told the reporters that the suspect was receiving orders from Syria and Iraq to carry out an attack on Turkish soil. He also said that the suspects linked to him are under questioning. Intelligence and counter-terrorism police of Turkey caught Ozden in southern city Adana and was later brought to Istanbul where he was arrested formally. The raid on Ozden took place after police arrested a suspect in Istanbul last week who was believed to be carrying out reconnaissance for attack. An assault rifle was found from the suspect’s hotel room. It was later determined that eh was getting orders from Ozden. Soylu also said that the terrorists were planning to kidnap political as well as state figures and take them to Syria. ISIL has attacked Turkey on numerous occasions including an attack on a night club in Istanbul on January 1, 2017. 39 people lost their lives in that attack. They also bombed in Istanbul in 2016 that took 12 precious lives.
