Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg has criticized heavily on Indian cricketers Varun Chakravarthy and Rahul Tewatia after they failed the fitness test ahead of the five-match T20I series against England at home.
All-rounder Tewatia and the mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy were called to India’s T20I squad for the home series against England on the back of their staggering show in IPL 2020 but both of them failed one of the fitness tests at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Indian cricket team has set very high standards for their players to be included in the team. Hogg has said that both the cricketers must know it but they failed. He further added that both these Indian players lack the determination to play international cricket and this could be their last opportunity to represent India. Varun Chakravarthy was also named in India’s T20 squad for Australia tour but he missed the chance due to shoulder injury and this time once again he missed out due to poor fitness.
