South Africa’s women team has reached in the semi final of ICC Women’s World Cup after their group game against Windies was washed out due to torrential rain at Basin Reserve in Wellington on Thursday. It was a delayed start due to rain and eventually when the conditions were satisfactory enough for play to begin, it was reduced to 26 overs per side match.
South Africa were 61 for 4 after 10.5 overs before the match was called off, with both the teams sharing a point. Now South Africa has 9 points and they are resting at the second place on points table behind Australia who are at the top with 12 points. Both the teams have one round-robin league match left.
