Shoaib Akhtar described a talented Pakistani pacer as Absolute Waste

Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar aka Rawalpindi Express was asked to describe fellow pacer Muhammad Asif in one word and he used only one word i.e. “Zaaya”. Shoaib Akhtar asked his fans to post questions on his Twitter handle. Many people asked him questions related to cricket. One of his fans asked him about Muhammad Asif and in reply he used a short word to describe Asif’s career.

Asif was considered as one of the best bowlers in the cricketing world at one stage but than his international career ended when he was involved in the spot-match fixing scandal in 2010. He was banned for 5 years but after that he never represented Pakistan. Players like Hashim Amla and Kevin Pietersen described Asif as the toughest bowler they have faced. Muhammad Asif took 106 wickets in 23 Test matches he played at an impressive average of 24.36. Asif made is Test debut against Australia in January 2005 at SCG but he went wicketless on his debut. He played his last Test match at Lords against England in August 2010.
