After a very disappointing show in New Zealand, Pakistan Cricket Board is thinking of Misbah’s removal from the position of Head Coach of Pakistan cricket team. According to reports, after the South Africa series, Misbah is most likely to be removed. Former captain and Chief Selector, Misbah ul Haq has been under constant criticism for the poor performance of the Pakistani Cricket team.
PCB is planning to appoint a foreign coach for the cricket team and for this they have approached Gary Kirsten and Andy Flower. According to reports Gary Kirsten has turned down the offer and it is most likely that Andy Flower will accept the offer. Pakistan suffered a heavy defeat against the Kiwis in the 2nd test by an innings and 176 runs. New Zealand won the 2-match series 2-0. Misbah was given the dual role of Chief Selector and Head Coach last year but his performance was not satisfactory. Misbah recently left the chief selector’s position in order to focus on the role of Head Coach and Muhammad Wasim was appointed the Chief Selector of Pakistan. The selection committee is all set to make some changes in the Pakistani squad for the upcoming South Africa series. It is believed that Sharjeel Khan and Hasan Ali will make comeback against South Africa. Azam Khan is also all set to make a debut for Pakistan in the T20I series against South Africa.
