Former Pakistani hard-hitting batsman Shahid Afridi has recovered from COVID-19 and he will join the Quetta Gladiators today. He will be part of the bio-secure bubble. Afridi who left last year’s champions Multan Sultans and joined Quetta Gladiators tested positive for COVID-19 on 27th January and was in quarantine. Afridi became asymptomatic earlier but he will spend three more days in bio-bubble before being available for selection.
Afridi stayed at home after suffering a back injury and in the last week he was suffering from the virus. Quetta Gladiators have played three games in PSL 7 and have won one game. Yesterday they lost the a thriller against the defending champions Multan Sultans. Quetta Gladiators were impressive in their first game against Peshawar Zalmi though they lost that encounter. In their 2nd game they comfortably beat Karachi Kings.
