Lahore Qalandars’s all rounder Samit Patel is the first foreign player who has arrived in Pakistan for the playoffs of PSL 2020. all the foreign players will arrive till 10th November and then they will have to undergo a 48-hours quarantine period. Each player involved in the PSL playoffs will be tested twice for the coronavirus.

PSL V was put on halt after 40 games due to the global pandemic. The playoffs were later rescheduled to be played in mid November. Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi have qualified for the playoffs. Pakistani players who are involved in playoffs will join their respective teams after the completion of ongoing T20I series against Zimbabwe.
Teams will begin their training on Monday and they can also take part in the intra squad practice matches. 21 players have confirmed to participate in the remaining matches of the PSL. Among the players coming to Pakistan for playoffs is South African skipper Faf du Plessis who will be representing Peshawar Zalmi. This is the first time Faf du Plessis is participating in Pakistan Super League.
