Realme 7 Pro Review – Should you buy it or not

Realme has come up with a new 7 series which includes Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro. Today we are going to review the newly launched Realme 7 Pro that has got some major updates compared to its predecessor i.e. Realme 6 Pro. The main features to look for in this newly launched smartphone by Realme are stereo speakers, AMOLED display and 65W fast charging.

Realme 7 Pro which has recently launched in Pakistan starts at 54,999 which is a bit on higher side as compared to Realme 6 Pro. Realme Pro 7 is competing with Poco X2 and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and to a higher extent it can compete with Oppo F 17 Pro and Redmi K20. Lets have a look at the new Realme 7 Pro and figure out if it is worth buying or not.

Design:

Realme 7 Pro has got the same mirror-split design from backside as that of Realme 7 but it is slimmer (8.7mm) as well as lighter (182g) compared to Realme 6 Pro. The frame and the back panel are made of plastic like its predecessor but it has got a very good quality. This make it very easy and comfortable to hold. The back has matte finish which means it will not catch the fingerprints easily. The buttons are placed in order and the bottom of the phone contains speaker, USB Type-C port and headphone jack.

The display feature of Realme 7 Pro is the one to look at. It has smaller screen i.e. 6.4 inch as compared to Realme 6 Pro. But it has got a super AMOLED panel along with full HD+ resolution. Realme has also mentioned the use of Corning Gorilla Glass though the version has not been specified. It has got rich colors and very bright colors. With this type of panel, Realme 7 Pro has an in-display fingerprint sensor and an always-on display mode.

Realme 7 Pro has got Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC as in 6 Pro. It is a very impressive chip as it is power efficient plus it does not heat up much when it is stressed. The performance of this smartphone is pretty much impressive as it never missed any beat whether you are going to launch an app, switching between multiple apps or playing the game with some heavy graphics.

One aspect that is a bit worrying is high refresh rate. Watching videos is a great experience on this smartphone wit the super AMOLED display and stereo speakers. The stereo effect is pretty much awesome and the Dolby Atmos boosts the volume as well as audio fidelity. Games also run flawlessly on it.

Battery:

Realme 7 Pro has got 4,500mAh battery which can last for more than a day if it is charged fully. We have conducted an HD video loop test and the results were pretty much awesome as the phone lasts more than 22 hours. It fully charges quickly as well, thanks to its 65W fast charging adapter.

Cameras:

Realme 7 Pro has got an impressive set of cameras. The rear cameras on the smartphone are pretty much similar to the ones on the Realme 7. The main camera is a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682, the ultra-wide angle camera is of 8-megapixel, the depth camera is of 2-megapixel and macro camera is also of 2-megapixel.

When it comes to selfies, Realme 7 Pro has got a 32-megapixel camera with f/2.5 aperture. When you will compare Pro 7 with Pro 6 you will realize the Pro 7 has not got ultra-wide angle selfie camera as well as a rear telephoto camera. According to Realme, the new 64-megapixel primary camera will provide you equal if not better clarity compared to 2x optical telephoto camera.

Should you buy the Realme 7 Pro or not?

All in all we can say that Realme has come up with an impressive 7 Pro phone. It has got some impressive upgrades to Realme 6 Pro like stereo speakers, AMOLED screen and faster charging. With the new sensor, the primary rear camera has been enhanced greatly. Though there are many other phones like Motorola One Fusion+, Poco X3 (launching soon) and Samsung Galaxy M51 (launching soon) which look impressive as well but our verdict is that you should buy this phone.
