Team India head coach Rahul Dravid has recovered from COVID-19 and is expected to join the team ahead of the opening match against arch-rivals Pakistan. India and Pakistan will come face to face at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Rahul Dravid is an important figure in Indian team and his repsence in the dressing room will be a great boost for Team India.

Dravid was tested positive for COVID-19 on 23rd August and he did not join the Indian team in UAE. In Dravid’s absence, VVS Laxman was named the interim coach of Team India. Nevertheless, as per recent developments, Dravid has returned with negative COVID test on Saturday which makes him eligible to join the camp. A BCCI official has said that Dravid test results has come negative and he is fit to fly.

Team India is looking for a redemption after suffering a humiliating 10-wickets defeat when these two teams played last year in T20 World Cup. It was the first ever win for Pakistan over India in any World Cup clash. Both India and Pakistan have been impressive in their recent T20I assignments but both the teams will miss their respective their pace spearheads Shaheen Shah Afridi and Jasprit Bumrah who are unavailable due to injuries.
