Islamabad United’s captain and leg spinner Shadab Khan has said that Islamabad United should make full use of the all-rounder Faheem Ashraf who has been in a staggering form. Last year in the T20I series against the Kiwis, Faheem Ashraf scored 37 runs in three matches at an average of 12.33 and also took 4 wickets. In the Test series against the Black Caps he scored 186 runs which included his career best 91 runs. He scored these runs at an average of 46.40 which is very impressive in New Zealand. Faheem also took three wickets in that series.
Back home in the Test series against Proteas, Faheem Ashraf scored 171 runs at an average of 85.50. He also scored two half-centuries. In the T20I series against South Africa, he scored 44 runs at an average of 22. Currently he is part of Islamabad United in Pakistan Super League and has scored 47 runs in the first two games at an average of 23.50 and with a strike-rate of 174.07.
Islamabad United’s skipper Shadab Khan said that we should make full use of the in-form Faheem Ashraf as he has had a very good season and is performing brilliantly at the international circuit. Islamabad United has started well at the PSL 6 as they have played two games and won them. They will play against Peshawar Zalmi on Saturday and are looking to make it three in a row and grab the top spot at the leaderboard.
