Pat Cummins who played a key role in trashing India in the first test D/N match, has acknowledged the lively track in Adelaide and wants the same sporting pitch for the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.
Pat Cummins (4/21) along with Josh Hazlewood (5/8) produced a staggering bowling show as India, one of the powerhouses of cricket collapsed to their lowest ever total i.e. 36. This helped Australia lead the 4-matches series 1-0. Cummins said that the Ashes Test in 2017-18 and the Indian Test at MCG some years ago were on flat wickets. On a contrary last year against New Zealand the pitch was really good with a bit of pace and bounce.
Cummins took the key wickets of Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Pujara. Pujara will be the key batsman for India as Kohli will return home for the birth of his child. The Australian vice captain also appreciated the off-spinner Nathan Lyon for bowling well to Cheteshwar Pujara. He said that Lyon bowled beautifully in the first innings. He was satisfied with the outcome of the first test and said that the group is teaming up well since the Manchester Test against England last year which Australia won by 185 runs.
