
Pakistan Cricket selectors has confirmed a 17-members squad that will be available for the first Test against South Africa. The three players who were not able to make it into the 17-member squad will stay with the team and will feature in warm-up and training sessions at National Stadium Karachi.
Captain Babar Azam will now finalize the playing XI from the following 17 players.
Openers: Imran Butt (Balochistan) and Abid Ali (Central Punjab).
Middle Order Batsmen: Azhar Ali (Central Punjab), Babar Azam (Captain, Central Punjab), Fawad Alam (Sindh) and Saud Shakeel (Sindh)
All-rounders: Mohammad Nawaz (Northern) and Faheem Ashraf (Central Punjab)
Wicketkeepers: Mohammad Rizwan (vice-captain, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) and Sarfaraz Ahmed (Sindh)
Spinners: Yasir Shah (Balochistan), Sajid Khan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) and Nauman Ali (Northern)
Pacers: Hasan Ali (Central Punjab), Shaheen Shah Afridi (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Haris Rauf (Northern) and Tabish Khan (Sindh)
