As day 3 of the Southampton Test was washed out, day 4 also saw only 1 hour of action. Unfortunately, bad light and rain keep the players in the dressing room. There was no action possible on day 4 apart from the opening one hour.
England were trailing Pakistan by 229 runs when the play was called off. Day 5 forecast is also not very good so it is very much possible that this match will end in a draw. Though there was only one hour of play possible but that one hour was full of action. Initially Rizwan scored some crucial runs in order to post a respectable total on the board. Pakistan was all out on 236 runs. Rizwan was trapped by Stuart Broad who had impressive figures of 4/56.
It's been a long wait, but it's finally time for a bat! 🏴🏏

Jamie Anderson also bagged 3 wickets while Sam Curran and Chris Woakes took one wicket each. England’s start was shacky as Rory Burns was removed in the very first over for a duck. After Burns dismissal, bad light stopped play. But after that persistent rain washed out the day 4.
Play abandoned for the day. Another frustrating day.
