Pakistan beat Zimbabwe in 2nd ODI – Wins the Series 2-0

Pakistan has beaten Zimbabwe in the 2nd ODI by six wickets at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Batting first Zimbabwe managed to score 206 runs. Pakistan completed the chase in 36th over when Babar Azam hit a towering six over long-off. Babar scored 77 off 74 balls with seven fours and two sixes.

 

Pakistani openers Abid Ali and Imam ul Haq provided a solid opening partnership of 68 runs. Imam missed his 2nd consecutive half century by one run. Abid Ali scored 22 runs off 24 balls. Muhammad Rizwan’s stay at the crease was very short as he was bowled by Sikandar Raza for 1 run off 5 balls. Iftikhar Ahmed gave support to skipper and remained not out on 16. For Zimbabwe, Tendai Chisoro took two wickets for 49 runs.

 

Earlier Iftikhar Ahmed restricted Zimbabwe to only 206 runs in the 2nd One Day International. He got five wickets for 40 runs and the debutant Muhammad Musa got 2 wickets for 21 runs. For Zimbabwe, Sean Williams scored impressive 75 runs off 70 deliveries with ten fours and a six. Apart from Sean Williams, Brandan Taylor scored 36 and Brian Chari scored 25 runs. Pakistan has already won the first match by 26 runs at the same venue and now they are leading the three match series 2-0.
