No Spanish and English representation in Final Four of Champions League since 1996

After some surprising results in the Champions League Quarter Finals our Semi-Final line up is ready. This is for the first time since 1996 that there is no Spanish and English representation in the final four of Champions League. Lyon shocked Man City Fans on Saturday night when they defeated the blues 3-1. With this result only clubs from Germany and France are left in the competition.

Barcelona was the last hope of Spain in this year’s Champions League but they were defeated in the most humiliating manner at the hands of tournament favorites Bayern Munich on Friday. Bayern Munich defeated Barca 8-2 in the Quarter Final.

It is the first time since 2013 that only two nations are being represented at the final four stage of the competition. PSG will face Leipzig challenge in the 1st Semi-Final on Tuesday while Bayern will take on Lyon on Wednesday. Lyon will be a tough challenge for Bayern as they have made it to the final four by first beating Serie A champions Juventus and the Man City.
