Ramiz Raja blames New Zealand for Babar's Injury

Former Pakistani cricket team’s captain and a renowned commentator Ramiz Raja has said that PCB should not have opted for conducting the training sessions at Queenstown as it has not got the sufficient training facilities. He also believes that this was the reason behind the injury of Babar Azam.

Ramiz Raja thinks that Queenstown is one of the most beautiful cricket grounds but it lacks the proper facilities to conduct the training sessions for international teams. He is also of the view that Queenstown ground is not suitable for cricket as it has not hosted many international cricket matches.

Pakistan cricket suffered a huge blow after captain Babar Azam fractured his right thumb in the practice session in Queenstown. He has been advised by the doctors to take rest for two weeks which means he is also doubtful for the first test match between Pakistan and New Zealand. Ramiz Raja also said that players have become lethargic after spending lot of time in quarantine. This has also slowed down the reflexes of the players. Ramiz Raja has advised Pakistan Cricket Board to take all the necessary things into account when planning a tour in future.
