Morgan, Malan shine as England Beat Pakistan by 5 Wickets in 2nd T20I

England has defeated Pakistan in a high scoring encounter at Old Trafford in Manchester. England skipper Eoin Morgan scored 66 runs facing just 33 balls. This inning from the English captain rescued the host in the 2nd T20I against Pakistan.

Fifties from Pakistan’s skippers Babar Azam and Muhammad Hafeez helped Pakistan to post a nice total on the board but England was well prepared for the challenge as they won the match with 5 wickets in hand. Morgan was in a very aggressive mood as he hit six 4s and four 6s. His 112 runs partnership with Dawid Malan helped England achieve victory with 5 balls left. English chase to 195 runs was very aggressive as the pitch was suitable for the stroke-play. Tom Banton and Jonny Bairstow has 66 runs opening stand. England was on the money but than in the 6th over, Shadab Khan struck on two consecutive balls. He sent both the openers in the dugout. Eoin Morgan survived the hat-trick ball with the narrowest of margin. Pakistan also faced a blow as Amir was out of the game due to injury. England capitalized greatly on Iftikhar’s overs who was forced to bowl after Amir’s exit. Morgan and Malan ensured that England has crossed the line with 5 balls to spare.
