Misbah ul Haq was under constant criticism ever since he took over a dual role at PCB. Apart from head coach and chief selector post at PCB, he was also associated with Islamabad United and SSGC. Misbah will continue to serve as chief selector till 30th November. He will also be responsible for selecting the team for the home series against Zimbabwe. Now the question is who will be the new Chief Selector of Pakistan cricket. There were reports that PCB has approached former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar for the post of Chief Selector, however the board has denied any such move.
