Legendary Indian singer SP Balasubrahmanyan has died on Friday after being diagnosed with COVID-19. He spent many days in Intensive Care Unit but could not make it. Balasubrahmanyan after being diagnosed with COVID-19 was admitted to a hospital in Chennai. He was later tested negative in early September but was on life support continuously. The hospital in their official statement said that he died of cardio-respiratory arrest.
SP Balasubrahmanyan started his career in Tamil and Telugu cinema and later became the first singer from south to feature in Bollywood. He came to limelight in 1981 when sang the songs for Ek Duje Kay Liye, a romcom that proved to be the biggest hit of that year. After his death news was broken down, his fans flooded the social media with the condolence messages. Many of them shared their favorite songs which were sung by SP Balasubrahmanyan.
