The king of emotions and the legendary actor Dilip Kumar has passwed away. According to the hospital resources, Dilip Kumar passed away at 7:30am on Wednesday. He passed away due to prolonged illness. Dilip Kumar was suffering from advanced prostate cancer that had spread in different organs of his body. The doctors said that he had water in pleural cavity and he suffered a kidney failure. He needed blood transfusion many a times. One of the hospital doctor said that they carried the last transfusion but it did not help. At the end he suffered a severe drop in blood pressure and haemoglobin.
The death of the legendary actor was confirmed by the official Twitter account, “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return.” the funeral of the late actor will take place at 5pm on Wednesday. Burial will take place in Juhu Qabrastan at Santacruz Mumbai.

Dilip Kumar was famous for his unique acting style and he inspired many actors of the future generations. He was one of the greatest actor of Indian film industry. His illustrious career spanned over five decades.
Dilip Kumar’s real name was Yousaf Khan and he was born in Qissa Khawani Bazaar area in Peshawar. He made his Bollywood debut in 1944 with the movie Jwar Bhata but the movie failed to get attention of the viewers. He rose to fame with his 1947 movie Jugnu opposite Noor Jahan. He achieved greatness with the movie Andaz in 1949 which also star Nargis and Raj Kapoor. He along with Shah Rukh Khan hold the record for most Filmfare awards. He was also honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
