South African former Test Player Jonty Rhodes has been given the duties of improving the cricket in Sweden. He has been appointed as the Head Coach of Swedish Cricket Team. The cricket federation of Sweden has issued an official statement that the federation is planning to improve the cricket in the country and looking for investing in junior cricket by appointing South African legend Jonty Rhodes.

Rhodes has been part of South African Cricket team in 52 Tests and 245 ODIs. His batting average in both Test and ODIs is 35 plus he is considered as the greatest fielder in cricket history. After his retirement from cricket he was appointed as a fielding coach for South Africa and he has also offered his services as fielding coach for Kings XI Punjab in IPL. The 51 years old former Proteas is thrilled about this new role in Sweden. He will be relocating with his family to Sweden. Currently he is in Dubai for this year’s edition IPL.
