
Mumbai Indians pacer Jasprit Bumrah has set a new Indian record in the IPL with his four wicket haul against Delhi Capitals in qualifier 1 on Thursday. Bumrah took 4 wickets for 14 runs from his quota of 4 overs. With this bowling performance, Bumrah has taken his tally to 27 wickets in this this season. This is the most by any Indian bowler in a single IPL edition. Previous best was Bhuvneshwar Kumar of Sunrisers Hyderabad who took 26 wickets in 2018 edition.
Bumrah’s 4/14 against Delhi Capitals
Jasprit is the only bowler this season who has taken 4-wicket hauls twice. Before this he took 4 for 20 against Rajasthan Royals. His stellar performance helped Mumbai Indians trounce Delhi Capitals for 143 who were chasing a target of 200. Bumrah’s 4 overs included a double wicket maiden over which almost ended all the hopes of Delhi in the first qualifier.

With this win Mumbai Indians has reached in their 6th final. After the win in qualifier 1, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma was all praises for his team. He said that this was their best performance so far. He said de Kock and Surya Kumar Yadav batted impressively after we lost a wicket in second over. He also praised the bowling effort of Mumbai.
