Italy has beaten Spain 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in a breathtaking semi-final at Wembley on Tuesday. Jorginho converted the decisive penalty to take Italian side through to the final where they will face either England or Denmark.
Spain was looking a better side in most spells of this epic semi-final before Federico Chiesa gave Italy lead with a staggering finish on the 60th minute of the game. In reply, Alvaro Morata who was dropped from the starting line-up came off the bench and scored the equalizer. After this both the teams were unable to find the back of the net till the end of extra time. The game then entered in penalties phase. Spain recently won the quarter final against Switzerland on penalties. They had also beaten Italian side on penalties at Euro 2008 but this time they failed this time. Italian side celebrated their victory with a large contingent of the UK-based Italian supporters. Italian side is unbeaten in 33 games and they will face either England or Denmark in the Final of Euro Cup on Sunday.
