Former left-hand pacer of India, Irfan Pathan is all set to play for Kandy Tuskers in Lanka Premier League. The tournament will start on Saturday, 21st November, 2020 with the opening match between Colombo Kings and Dambulla Hawks in Hambantota.
Irfan Pathan who retired from the International cricket recently will play along with some of the giants of the game like Chris Gayle, Liam Plunkett and Wahab Riaz. Kandy Tuskers coach Hashan Tilakaratne has confirmed the Indian pacer’s signing. Irfan Pathan last played the T20 cricket in February 2019.
Irfan Pathan is currently in UAE and in part of the commentary panel for the IPL 2020 edition. He played for Indian Legends in a charity tournament earlier this year which was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier he was the first Indian player to be included in the drafts for Caribbean Premier League. But for some personal reasons he was not able to take part in the league. Lanka Premier League will start on 21st November and the final will be played on 13th December in Pallekele.
