Mumbai Indians has beaten Sunrisers Hyderabad by 34 runs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. MI set a target of 209 and then their bowlers restricted SRH to 174/7. Sharjah is a batting heaven but SRH became the first team who were not able to post 200 on the board this season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad started well and their opener Jonny Bairstow and David Warner were on fire. Bairstow was the first to go in the fifth over when he was deceived by the short ball from Trent Boult. Then Warner and Manish Pandey steadied the SRH’s ship till Pandey fell in the 10th over. Hyderabad’s pace was slowed down when Boult dismissed Kane Williamson in the 13th over. Warner who was playing well also fell in the 16th over for 60 off 44 balls. Sunrisers Hyderabad required 37 runs in the last over but Pollard gave away just one run.
