Kolkalta Knight Riders have registered another comprehensive win in IPL 2020 as they have beaten Rajasthan Royals by 37 runs. KKR’s young pace duo Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi helped them to gain two more points and earn 2nd place in the points table. Both these bowlers got two wickets each and Varun Chakravarthy also chipped in with two wickets and restricted Rajasthan Royals to 137 runs. The Aussie pacer Pat Cummins was also impressive as he got the most crucial wicket of Steve Smith and after this Rajasthan never settled down in their run chase.

For Rajasthan Royals their big guns, Steve Smith and Jos Buttler started the inning in an attacking mode as they were looking to hit every ball out of the park. Steve Smith was given a life earlier as a catch was dropped off Pat Cummins but he could not capitalized on it and soon got out. Sanju Samson who is in sublime form was also undone by a perfectly executed bouncer from Mavi. After this the dangerous looking Jos Buttler was also dismissed by Mavi. After the collapse of the top order, Nagarkoti joined the party and dismissed the middle order batsmen Uthappa and Parag in his first over. Royals were pushed to the walls already then, the spinner Varun Chakravarthy grabbed the hero of last game Rahul Tewatia and Jofra Archer. Rajasthan’s margin of defeat would have been much higher had Tom Curran not made an impressive fifty at the end. He was hitting the ball well but it was all for a lost cause.

At the end it was Eoin Morgan who helped KKR reach a respectable total of 175.
