Chennai Super Kings is going through a tough time now a days as they have lost 3 matches in a row. Yesterday they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 runs in Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday. Chennai was given a target of 165 runs but the Dhoni XI could only managed to score 157 runs losing 5 wickets. Dhoni remained unbeaten on 47.

Chennai last lost three consecutive matches way back in 2014 and now in 2020 they have repeated it. Chasing 165 CSK lost the top order early. Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis and Ambati Rayudu failed to impress and all the burden was only captain MS Dhoni and Ravendra Jadeja. Thala Dhoni and Jadeja made a 72 runs partnership for the 5th wicket but they failed to take their side home.

Earlier SRH posted 164 runs thanks to the young Indian batsman Priyam Garg who remained unbeaten on 51. The former U-19 captain, Priyam Garg teamed up with Abhishek to make 77 runs partnership. CSK’s fielding was also a point of concern as several catches were dropped which allow SRH to post a respectable total. Dhoni later took all the blame on himself for this defeat and said that he was not able to hit the balls properly and maybe he was trying to hot too hard. Dhoni also said that his team has become too relaxed. He said that the bowlers have bowled too many no-balls and the fielding was also very sloppy which cost them the match. Dhoni has taken few positives from this defeat and is hopeful that his team will bounce back. With this loss, CSK is now at the bottom of the table. Their next challenge is Kings XI Punjab on 4th October at Dubai Cricket Stadium.  Whats your thoughts about the CSK’s performance. Please share your thoughts in the comments sections below.
