KKR is owned by Badshah of Bollywood i.e. Shah Rukh Khan and veteran actress Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta. Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment has 55% shares while the Mehta Group has 45% partnership in KKR. The team was bought by this duo for $ 75.09 million.

Shah Rukh Khan, the owner of KKR was banned from entering the dressing room of the team during IPL matches. Shah Rukh was also banned from entering Wankhede Stadium after his fight with the officials of stadium during IPL.
