Instagram has come up with a new sticker option for the stories which is known as Captions. The Captions stickers can transcribe speech in the Instagram stories automatically. It will allow the viewers to see the real time subtitles.

How to easily caption Instagram Live Stories

The caption feature was already present in IGTV and the Threads app. Now Instagram is adding this feature into Stories as well as Reels. This feature can be implemented in two different ways. The first one is by using the caption sticker.

In order to do this all you have to do is to select a video and share it to your Instagram story. Now before sharing it to your followers go to Stickers button on the preview page. Among the many sticker options, you need to find Captions button and click on it in order to apply it to the story. By tapping on the Captions button your video’s audio will be transcibed. You can tap the transcript to edit the color by tapping on the color picker. You can also change the font by tapping on the font option.

Auto-Generated Captions:

There is another way to use the Captions in your stories that is by setting up the automatic video captions through a settings toggle in the Instagram app. You can do this by tapping on the three-dot menu from the main screen of Instagram and then go to Story Settings. If you scroll down to Accessibility, you will get an option to turn on Auto-Generated Captions. At the moment this feature only works with the English language but in the future, Instagram is planning to expand it to other languages.
