Grant Flower, the batting coach of Sri Lanka has tested positive for OCVID-19 shortly after the Sri Lankan team’s tour to England. Sri Lankans were preparing for their series against India when the news broke. Grant Flower has been isolated from the rest of the team who are going under quarantine following their return from England.
Sri Lanka played a OneDay and T20 series against England and upon return their coach showed mild symptoms of COVID-19. Soon after Sri Lankan team’s return three English players and 4 staff members also tested positive for COVID-19. They were forced to select a new playing XI against Pakistan. Three Sri Lankan players who violated the bio-secure bubble just before the ODI series are now facing the disciplinary action. Newly look English team is led by Ben Stokes who was out of the squad for past several weeks due to an injured finger.
