Google is comping up with a new update which allows you to save your attachments in Google Photos. Google has added a “Save to Photos” button for Gmail attachments. In future when you will receive any Google attachment in an email, you will be able to save it to Google Photos by using this button.
At the moment you only get two options in Gmail message. You can either store the attachment into your device’s storage or can add them directly to Google Drive. The newly added “Save to Photos” button will appear right next to existing “Add to Drive” button on the attachment and when you preview the image attachment.
This new feature is only available for JPEG images only. Google will provide this feature for all Google Workspace customers as well as the ones who have got personal accounts. Google has already pushed out the new feature and the customers will get this feature in next 15 days. The new feature will be available for both mobile as well as web version.
