
Former Australian cricketer, Dean Jones has died of sudden cardiac arrest in Mumbai on Thursday. He was in India for host broadcasters of Indian Premier League. He suffered a heart attack while he was in hotel in Mumbai.

Dean Jones was a great player and an ambassador of the game. He was very active in the development of cricket across South Asia. He discovered many young cricketers. He was a very successful commentator as well. He always brought life in the commentary box and made millions of fans all around the globe.

Dean Jones played 52 Tests and 164 ODIs for Australia. His career started in 1984 and ended in 1992. He scored 3631 runs in test cricket at an average of 46.55. he made 11 centuries and 14 half-centuries. He scored 6068 runs in ODI at 44.62 with 7 centuries and 46 half centuries. He was associated with Chennai Super Kings in IPL. He was also the head coach of Islamabad United and Karachi Kings in Pakistan Super League.
