Firefox for Android has Got Major Overhaul – Got New Engine, Dark Mode

Firefox has been working on complete overhaul of its Android version known as “Fenix”. The update version has got loads of changes in order to make it more user friendly. With the updated version users can now enjoy the dark mode plus now there is a new space for your tabs as well as favorite websites. Mozilla is no longer using the Google’s Blink engine that powers various browsers like Chrome, Edge and Brave. Now Mozilla has fused it’s own GeckoView mobile browser engine. The main advantage of GeckoView is the it will provide a complete freedom of choice of implementing the standards and features.

 

Mozilla has also emphasized greatly on enhancing the privacy and security. It has got improved mobile productivity and updated experience of extensions. Enhancements have also been made on the visual side of the browser. Mozilla has introduced Collections for tabs which can be created by users to let them organize their sites. Users have also got the choice to put the address bar either at top position or at bottom. You can also perform the vice searches from the address bar plus the tracking position has also been set to Strict by default.
