Disha Patani shared a story on her Instagram account where she is seen acing the barbell squat. She is doing the squat with the barbell on her shoulders with weights (75kg) on both ends. Barbell squats helps you in building your glutes and calf size. It also strengthen the quadriceps and hamstrings. It improves the core strength as well as increases your mobility.
This is not the first time the fitness freak Disha Patani has shared a video of barbell squat. A short while ago she posted a video with caption, “#throwback to the times when I was strong…”
How to properly perform barbell back squat:
If you are doing the barbell squat for the very first time, you need to make sure that you are doing it under the supervision of a trainer. For performing the barbell squats follow these steps.
- First of all hold the barbell on both sides then pick it up and rest it on your shoulder muscles.
- You need to stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and with the toes slightly pointing out.
- Now squat until your hip crease is below your knee. You need to keep yout weight on your heels as you drive back up. This will complete one set.
