Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been questioned by the Narcotics Control Board (NCB) of India in a drug probe following the mysterious death of Sushant Singh Rajput on 14th June 2020. Deepika, 34, arrived at the NCB’s office located in Mumbai on Saturday after she was summoned earlier this week while she was in Goa for her film shooting.

NCB started the drug probe after Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his house in Mumbai. She is one of the dozens Bollywood professionals who have been questioned by Narcotics Control Board of India in past 14 days over the alleged links of Bollywood with drug peddlers and cartels. Earlier this week, a private TV channel broadcast various sections of a WhatsApp chat about procuring hash, according to the TV channel the two people chatting were Deepika and her manager. Apart from superstar Deepika Padukone, three other Bollywood actresses namely Shradha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh have also been summoned by NCB. Famous filmmaker, Karan Johar has also been in hot waters after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. He said that the allegations of narcotics being consumed at a party arranged by him at his residence last year were completely baseless.
