Snapchat is a very popular social media app that has gripped the minds of teenagers for more than 9 years now. It has maintained its popularity for almost a decade among the competitors like Instagram. The reason for its popularity is that Snapchat has added new fun and gripping features consistently for example Stories (that vanishes automatically after 24hrs), Snap Map and Cameos.
Snapchat has also got a very interesting feature known as Bounce which was introduced in August 2018. Bounce allows you to create some fun snaps to share with your friends. It lets you create a Boomerang on Snapchat.
Snapchat is a very feature rich app and the newbies generally struggle to find all of the features. Bounce feature allows the users to play a selected portion of their videos on loop. Bounce feature is very easy to use and anyone can create Boomerang on Snapchat easily and instantly by following the steps given below.
In order to use Bounce you are required to make sure that your Snapchat is updated and for that you need to follow these steps.
- Go to the App Store on your iPhone.
- Now go to Updates in order to check all the apps, including Snapchat, that require an update.
- Press update and then wait till your device downloads all of the latest software updates.
- Once the update process is completed leave App Store and launch the updated Snapchat in order to start using Bounce feature.
When you will open the Snapchat app and your camera is all set to shoot your video, press and hold the Capture button that appears on the Camera screen. You need to record the video till you are satisfied. If you go over the chosen video length no worries as you can trim the unwanted part later.
Now tap on the Infinity loop icon once the recording is done. Move the Bounce slider where you need to input your Bounce. You can tap infinity icon more than once to allow you recipients watch a loop video or just once.
In order to adjust the time frame of the video that you need to Bounce you can move the slider left or right. Of the slider is moved to left, the beginning of the video will be Bounced and if you move the slider to the right direction it allows you to select the middle it ending portion of the video. You can have the preview of your video clip at any time and you can make final adjustments until you are satisfied with the preview.
Once the Bounce is created now you need to press the white arrow located at the bottom right corner in order to share Bounce video. You have got the option to share your loop with your friends or add as a story for next 24 hours. Bounce only works on iOS device and if you are using Android device then I am afraid this feature is still not available.
