Trinbago Knight Riders is associated with the Kolkata franchise in IPL and their performance in the CPL is very impressive. They have always qualified for the playoffs since the start of the league in 2013. They also have won the competition three times. They have got the services of Colin Munro and Fawad Ahmed who are considered the best CPL batman and bowler respectively. There is no other batsman, who has played minimum 10 games, having better average than Munro’s 40.7. In the 2018 edition of CPL, Munro was the highest scorer as he scored 567 runs. The Aussie leggie Fawad Ahmed has also got an impressive record in CPL T20. He has taken wicket every 15.6 balls which is better than any other spinner in the competition. They have also got the services of Sunil Narine, Dwayne Bravo and Pollard the beast. They look a promising side but they are lacking the firepower in the fast bowling department. All in all, Bravo’s return and the addition of another mystery spinner i.e. Pravin Tambe have strengthen the bowling unit.

They are the unluckiest side in CPL or perhaps in all the franchise cricket. They have made to the five finals in the seven editions of the CPL but their trophy cabinet is still empty as they have lost all of the finals. In the 2019 edition of CPL they won all of their eleven matches and reached the final but guess what they lost the final as their batting powerhouse let them down. Guyana Amazon Warriors has got the young guns which will be the future of West Indies cricket. Brandon King was the leading run scorer in the 2019 edition. They have also got Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer to strengthen the middle order. Shoaib Malik led them to the finals in the 2019 edition but this time due to the international commitment he won’t be able to lead them and Chris Green will take the captaincy role. Their bowling is also impressive with Green and Imran Tahir being the top 5 bowlers in CPT history.
