A Chennai Super Kings pacer and 12 members of the support staff have tested positive for COVID-19. All the members who have tested positive are in stable condition and they have been isolated from the other members of the team.
The player tested positive for novel coronavirus on Days 1 and 3 of the compulsory testing period in Dubai. According to the SOPs of BCCI, all the players who arrive in UAE need to give 3 Tests which are conducted on Day 1, Day 3 and Day 6. After all the tests are successful then the players will be permitted to enter into the biosecure bubble. Now the player as well as the support staff who have been tested positive for coronavirus will be in isolation for 14 days. After the 14 days isolation time period, the individual has to come up with 2 negative PCR test reports. All the players who are in the biosecure environment will have to be tested every 5th day throughout the whole season.
