Days after Amazon acquired podcast maker Wondery and then merged it with its Amazon Music division, another podcast platform i.e. Breaker has been acquired by the social media giant Twitter. The financial details of the Twitter’s acquisition with Breaker have not been confirmed but there are some bad news for the ones who are using Breaker app for listening to the podcasts and creators who hosted the content on the platform.

The CEO Eric Berlin wrote in the blog post that they are very excited and thrilled to announce that Breaker is joining Twitter. The company has announced that Breaker mobile app and the website will be shut down on January 15. You need to know something about Breaker as in addition to a podcast listening app, it has added few social features like ability to follow other users or gain the followership, posting emoji reactions, leaving comments on an episode, ability to like content, create playlists and also share them on the social media
