Argentina’s professional footballer Angel Di Maria will retire from international football after the World Cup in Qatar. Former PSG and Manchester United forward has said that after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar he will retire from international football as there are lots of young footballers coming up who are ready for representing Argentina at international level. He confirmed his retirement news ahead of the Argentina’s match against Italy on Wednesday at Wembley.
34 years old Di Maria represented Argentina in 121 matches and scored 24 goals. He scored the winner against Brazil in last year’s Copa America final and Argentina lifted their first major title after 28 years. Di Maria will also leave PSG this summer but he has yet to decide where he will play his club football next season.
