The much-awaited Tom Raider 2 is expected to on floors in 2021, revealed by the Oscar winning actress Alicia Vikander. She took the role of Lara Croft from Angelina Jolie with the 2018’s Tomb Raider.
The 32 years old Swedish actress was a guest in Good Morning America where she revealed that the plan for the movie’s shooting has been changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She said that the initially the plan was to start the shooting this year but due to the pandemic it has changed. She also added that they are still discussing about the start of the shooting. She is hopeful that the shooting will start next year.
The director of 2018’s Tomb Raider, Roar Uthaug is not the part of the sequel and the director’s seat will be occupied by Ben Wheatley famous for Free Fire. Dominic West, Daniel Wu and Walton Goggins are also part of this movie. Alicia Vikander is currently working in The Glorias, a biopic on the veteran journalist Gloria Steinem.
