19 years old Iga Swiatek from Poland has won the French Open which is her first ever WTA trophy. This was the perfect French Open tournament for her as she has not conceded a single set. The Polish teenager beat the Australian Open winner Kenin 6-3, 6-1.

Iga Swiatek is the first ever player from Poland to win a major singles title and she is also the lowest ranked (54) woman to win French Open. With this win, Tennis has been introduced with another young star in the Women’s Tennis. In the second set Kenin was injured and left the court for the examination of her thigh. This injury affected her game but Iga Swiatek was on top of her game and finished the 2nd set quickly.
