Joe Biden has defeated Donald Trump and become the 46th president of USA. Biden, former vice president of USA was born in Pennsylvania in 1942. He first became a Senator at the young age of 29. After that he was re-elected for six times in Senate. Joe Biden first ran for the president in 1988 and then in 2008. He was the vice president of Obama administration and became very popular for his work as well as for the bromance with Obama.

Biden served the public for many years and he recently shared some facts which are little known to the public. He took to Instagram and wrote “I know sometimes it can feel like you watch me on TV or you see my social media posts, but you’ve never gotten a chance to meet me in real life. That’s why I wanted to share 11 facts about me you might not know!”

Played for his High School Football Team

He was part of his high school football team. Joe played both wide receiver as well as halfback on the team. In the year 1960 they went undefeated.


Got two German Shepherds

Biden has got two German shepherds named Major and Champ. Now after 4 years dogs will be heading towards the White House. Major will be the first rescue dog in the White House.

Biden’s love for ’67 Corvette Stingray

Biden is very fond of cars and he has still got the ’67 Corvette Stingray which he got from his father Joseph R. Biden Sr. as a wedding gift.

Joe Biden was the man who wrote as well as championed the Violence Act against Women Act.


Lost his Wife and 1 Year old Daughter in a Road Accident

Mr. Biden’s wife Neilia and one-year old daughter Amy were killed in a road accident. His sons Hunter and Beau were also injured in the accident. Biden who was elected for the first time to the Senate rather moving to Washington DC decided to commute by train each day from Wilmington so that he can spend more time with his sons.


Took Oath in Hospital

In November 1972, Joe Biden was elected Delaware senator and soon after that his beloved wife and 1 year old daughter died in a road accident. His two sons were in hospital after sustaining injuries. Francis Valeo, the Secretary of Senate travelled to Wilmington in order to issue the oath of the office to the new senator. Biden was sworn into the Senate at his sons’ hospital bedside.

A stutter can be a very frustrating speech disorder but this disorder has not held the president elect back. Last year he revealed on Twitter that he has spent his whole life to overcome this disorder. He has also mentored many kids with the same speech disorder.


He grew up with a speech disorder and he recited Emerson and Yeats in order to enhance his public speaking skills.

He was the youngest people ever selected for US Senate at the age of 29. the constitutional requirement is 30 years and he met that age when he was sworn in.
